A few months back Detroit’s Jeremy Ellis rolled through the Bay and sat down for an interview with Grown Kids Radio’s Spinnerty. It’s a funny interview. Definitely worth checking out. The episode starts off with a nice set by Cyclyst and Spinnerty closes it out with an excellent set as well. Tracklist here.

Ghosts on Tape recently dropped a real nice mix of tracks, all by SF Bay Area cats, on XLR8R. I’m honored to have my Chela Remix in the mix. Big ups to Cheif Boima for letting me know about this mix and to Vinny Esparza for hooking me up with the original Hernan Bulles track. This mix has a lot of jams on it, don’t let the lame intro throw you off.

Grown Kids Radio will be back in the building tonight, rocking the soulful sounds of yesterday and today. Lets set the mood with this very nice instrumental joint off the new Breakestra album on Strut Records.

Grown Kids Radio episode #15 brings us fresh beats from Europe. It all starts off with live sets from Cinnaman and Dorian Concept recorded in San Francisco. Then special GKR correspondent Bozak swings through to sit down and interview the fellers before they skip town. This is all really dope but Bozak drops a short set at the end of it that’s really my favorite part of the whole damn thing! Tracklist here.

Big line up for the final round of Holy Thursday. NastyNasty and So What of Frite Night Records, the UK’s Natural Self and the Bay Area’s own Broken Figures, Bozak and Spinnerty all dropping original beats! I’m gonna miss this party for sure. I saw a lot of great performances, met a bunch of cool cats and got to play out some of my own shit for some true heads because of it. RIP Holy Thursday!

No, we’re not celebrating the fact that Shane, Sarah & Josh are still locked up in Tehran, we’re trying to raise money to help out their families with travel costs and other expenses resulting from this unfortunate situation.
Lots of you have been coming out to the Free the Hikers vigils, which is awesome, but this time, you have the chance to help out a good cause AND get trashed while shaking your ass. I guarantee this party is gonna be crack-a-lackin’ — we’ve got a West Oakland capoeira studio until late night, cheap drinks & snacks, and a bunch of slammin’ party DJs, including your boys Pubic Frenemy & Peter West.
If you like to get sweaty to stankysouthcumbiaturbobailehyphycrunk, this is the place to be on Saturday night.
Please forward this invite to all your friends — thanks for the support, y’all!
Also: Big ups to Timmy for the flyer, check out his work at: http://www.timsimonsgraphics.net/
In about 18 years, this baby is gonna OWN da club…
Only one place to be after Critical Mass this Friday…
